Forming a contract

Product listings are an invitation to order, not an offer. A contract is formed only when we send an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because a grade has sold out or we cannot ship to your destination, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

Products and natural variation

These are agricultural products. Colour, quill length, aroma intensity and appearance vary between harvests and within a grade, and photographs are indicative rather than exact. Grades describe quill diameter ranges, which we apply consistently, not a guarantee of identical appearance between lots.

Prices and currency

Prices are shown in United States dollars and exclude shipping unless the order qualifies for free shipping over $75. Prices exclude any import duty or tax charged in your country. We may change prices at any time, but never after your order has been confirmed.

Payment

Payment is taken in full at checkout through our payment provider's hosted page. We never see or store your card details. Orders are not packed until payment has cleared.

Dispatch and delivery

Orders are dispatched from Sri Lanka within 48 hours of payment clearing, Monday to Saturday. Delivery times published on the shipping page are indicative and begin at dispatch. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs inspection, weather or events outside our control.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us. Please give a complete and accurate address, because we cannot recover parcels sent to an incorrect one.

Customs, duties and import rules

You are the importer of record. Duties, taxes and clearance charges in the destination country are your responsibility, and it is your responsibility to check that your country permits the import of dried spices for personal use. Parcels refused or destroyed by customs are refunded less shipping and any charges we incur.

Cancellation and returns

You may cancel before dispatch by emailing us. After dispatch, our refunds and returns policy applies. Because these are food products, opened packaging cannot be returned for food safety reasons.

Allergens and intended use

Our spices are culinary ingredients. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no health claim is made or implied. If you have an allergy or a medical condition, check with a qualified professional before changing what you consume.

Liability

Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Intellectual property

All text, photography, artwork and the Singha Foods name and marks on this site belong to Singha Foods (Pvt) Ltd or its licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute. Consumers resident elsewhere keep the benefit of any mandatory protections available under the law of their own country of residence.
