Who we are

Singha Foods (Pvt) Ltd, No 43/1, Morris Rd, Walipatha, Galle, Sri Lanka, operates this website and is the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at info@singhafoods.com for any question about this policy.

What we collect

• Order data: name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number and the contents of your order.
• Enquiry data: anything you enter into the contact, wholesale quotation or sample request forms, including company name and country.
• Newsletter data: your email address, and whether you opened or clicked a message.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed, collected through analytics.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or store card numbers. Payment is completed on our payment provider's hosted checkout, and only the outcome of the transaction and an order reference are returned to us.

Why we use it

• To take payment for, pack, ship and support your order, and to produce the customs documentation shipping requires.
• To answer enquiries and prepare wholesale quotations.
• To send the newsletter, where you have asked for it.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To meet accounting, tax and export record keeping obligations.

Legal basis

Where you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we rely on performance of a contract for order data, consent for marketing email and non essential cookies, and legitimate interests for fraud prevention, security and basic analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies and local storage keep your cart and your session working and cannot be switched off without breaking the site. Analytics cookies measure traffic and are only set where permitted. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertising networks.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage will prevent the cart from working.

Who we share it with

• Couriers, so your parcel can be delivered and cleared through customs.
• Our payment provider, to take and reconcile payment.
• Our email, hosting and analytics providers, acting on our instructions.
• Government authorities, where export or tax law requires it.

International transfers

We are based in Sri Lanka and some of our service providers are located elsewhere, so your data may be transferred outside your own country. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place with those providers.

How long we keep it

Order and accounting records are kept for as long as tax and export law requires. Enquiry records are kept for up to three years. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain only the fact of the unsubscribe so we do not contact you again.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, ask us to restrict it, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to info@singhafoods.com and we will respond within one month. Every newsletter also carries a one click unsubscribe link.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to order and enquiry data is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected customers promptly if a breach materially affects them.

Children

This site is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
